Moral Fiber Media is an independent civic journalism LLC. We publish free, openly licensed content about political accountability, voter engagement, and democratic transparency. Our website is moralfibermedia.com and we operate several subdomains on that domain.
Nothing, directly. We do not require accounts, logins, email addresses, or any form of registration to access our content. We do not use cookies. We do not run tracking scripts. We do not use analytics software on our static pages.
Our pages use the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy practices:
If you leave a tip via Buy Me a Coffee, we may receive your display name, email address, and tip amount through our Buy Me a Coffee dashboard. Payment card details are handled entirely by Stripe and are never visible to us. We will not add your email to any mailing list or contact you unless you separately subscribe to our Substack.
Our content is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
We do not collect, store, or process personal data. The third-party services listed above may process data subject to their own GDPR compliance. Since we do not control that processing, we encourage EU visitors to review those policies directly.
If we change how we handle privacy — for example, if we add analytics or email capture — we will update this page and the "Last Updated" date at the top. We will not retroactively reduce your privacy protections.
Moral Fiber Media publishes civic journalism, political analysis, interactive puzzles, and curated resource directories. Our content is editorial — it reflects our analysis and interpretation of publicly available information. We are not a law firm, financial advisor, or government agency.
We make every effort to ensure our content is factual, well-sourced, and transparent about where our information comes from. Every claim is backed by publicly available sources, and we link to those sources directly. If we get something wrong, we'll correct it.
That said, our editorial analysis — the conclusions we draw from facts — represents our opinion. You're welcome to disagree. The sources are right there.
Our "Follow the Money" puzzles use political donation data from OpenSecrets.org, a nonpartisan research organization. This data represents PAC contributions and individual employee donations as reported to the Federal Election Commission. It does not represent direct corporate treasury gifts. We present the data as-is from the source, without editorializing about which company is "better" or "worse."
Moral Fiber Media is an LLC. Tips and voluntary payments are not tax-deductible donations. They are exactly what they sound like — tips, given voluntarily, with no expectation of goods or services in return. All content remains free regardless of whether you tip.
This site and its content are provided "as is." We make no warranties about completeness, reliability, or availability. We're a small independent operation doing our best.
Moral Fiber Media, its owner, and its contributors are not liable for any decisions you make based on our content. We provide information and analysis. What you do with it is up to you.
We link extensively to external sources — OpenSecrets, government databases, news organizations, and other civic resources. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of those sites. When you click an external link, you're leaving our site.

Our "Follow the Money" puzzles incorporate data from OpenSecrets.org, which is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 (CC BY-NC-SA 3.0). Under the ShareAlike clause, the entire puzzle — not just the data — inherits this license. This means:
Each puzzle clearly displays its license in the footer. When in doubt, check the license block on the specific page.
You can embed, share, screenshot, and link to our puzzles freely. You can use them in classrooms, presentations, newsletters, and social media. You cannot sell them, put them behind a paywall, or incorporate them into a product you charge for. If you're unsure, just ask us.
